Heroes Without Capes

Here we are again, the second Wednesday of the month. You know what that
means...it's time for another challenge at Words 2 Craft By.

In the U.S. (home of W2CB), National Super Hero Day is on April 28,
so to honour all non-caped heroes in our communities, our quote this month
is a fab one by Gerard Way...
"All the best heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary"

I can think of so many people about whom this quote could apply, not least
nurses, paramedics, doctors and 'fireies'.

I have had this digi image for several years, and thought it would be
perfect for this challenge.

Now wouldn't a home visit by this little guy cheer you up no end??
I just adore the look on Clyde's face.

Image - Bugaboo Digi Stamp Clyde Get Well
Colouring - Promarkers
Die - Spellbinders Classic Rectangle
Paper - DCWV Citrus (8" x 8" pad)

For a chance to win a great prize pop over to Words 2 Craft By, check out my teamies' creations, then enter your own interpretation of our current quote.

Until next time, thank you for visiting,
Hugs,
Jennifer.  xx

Gatefold Card

My goodness, it's now only 20 days until Christmas, and I still have so many cards
to make.

It is also hard to believe, but it is once again Wednesday, and so that means it is time
for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty, where our theme this week is
'BINGO'
You all know how this works...you may choose any line, be it vertical, horizontal
or diagonal, but you must use the 3 items in that line.

Thank you to our 2 sponsors for this week. They are both regular sponsors.
and

I was asked to create a card with a digi stamp by Bugaboo, Greetings Couple,
and I chose the 3rd vertical line on the bingo chart...ribbon,
die-cut, card candi. The sentiment is included with the image.
For a bit of a change, I made a gatefold card, and the DP is Basic Grey
Hopscotch.

As usual I coloured the image with Promarkers.

Inside my card there is plenty of room to write a personal message.
All the dies I used are various Spellbinders.

For a chance to win great prizes, why not visit Penny's Paper Crafty and enter our 'BINGO' challenge.

I am off to bed soon, as I need to gather my strength for a few rather hectic days. Tomorrow is one of my regularly rostered days at Fort Scratchley (I am a volunteer guide there 2-3 days each week), then on Friday evening I have a stall at a mini craft fair that a friend is hosting in her garden. On Saturday night, John and I are donating our music for the Christmas party at the Fort for all the volunteers, then I am rostered to do guide duty all day Sunday. Methinks Monday is going to see one very tired little bunny, don't you think?

Tomorrow night, I will be back with 2 Christmas cards, so until then.......
Hugs,
Jennifer. x

Coffee Anyone???

How quickly Wednesdays come around...and you know what that means...
it is time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty.
Our theme this week is nice and easy

'LOTS OF LAYERS'

We are lucky to have 3 sponsors this week, and they are all generous regulars:-

I was asked to use a Bugaboo digi image, so I chose JJ Coffee To Go.
For something different, my card is a 'tent-fold'.
Don't you just love the sentiment that comes with the image.

Coloured, as usual, with my Promarkers. This size coffee would still not
be large enough for a lady I used to work with...she rarely ate anything,
preferring to drink endless mugs of coffee. It probably comes as no surprise
that she was thinner than the lady above, and......let's just say......
hyperactive, and as 'jumpy' as a kitten in a Doberman kennel!

Inside my card, decorated to match the front.

Challenges I would like to enter :-
Dream Valley #69 - 'Humour'
Joanna Sheen - 'Food For Thought'

Butterflies and Poppies

Gosh, all day I have been thinking it is Tuesday, but no.....it is Wednesday.
Where are the weeks disappearing to?????

I would like to welcome to some lovely ladies who have become new followers.
Thank you for doing so, and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Because it is Wednesday, we have a new challenge for you at Penny's Paper Crafty,
and our theme this week is

'SPOOLED ITEMS'
(ribbon, trim, twine, lace, etc)

Thank you to our 2 lovely sponsors this week. They are:-
and

I was given this pretty tag, For You Butterfly Tag from Bugaboo.
I coloured it with my Promarkers (that took all of 5 minutes),
and.........

this is what I created with it.
Two of the die-cuts are from dies that my lovely English blogging
friend, Pauline, sent me. They are the large butterfly by Joy Craft, and the
tulips by Memory Box. The smaller butterfly is Cheery Lynn. I smothered
all 3 die-cuts to within an inch of their lives with Star Dust Stickles.

A closer look at the 3 die-cuts, and the lace and white ribbon border.
Inside my card matches the front. The gorgeous paper is New Arrival,
by Forever Friends. It is heavily glittered. My layering of the Spellbinders
Classic and Scalloped Ovals looks uneven here but is not in reality.

Anything Goes #100 - 'In The Garden...add Butterflies'

Little Red Dragon

Hello fellow crafters, and a big welcome to my newest follower, Manderly, who is one of my teamies at Penny's Paper Crafty.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, and didn't do what I did...eat way, way, too much chocolate. Each morning I would say to John that I never wanted to see any chocolate ever again...BUT, guess what I would be doing by mid afternoon...yes, you're correct!

Once again it is Wednesday, and we have a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty. This time, our challenge theme is a very interesting one -
'RED, WHITE AND BLACK'
We have one sponsor this week, and it is the very generous

The digital image I chose to play with is one of my favourite Bugaboo characters, 'Clyde'. I have used him before. On that card, he was green, so I think he may be part-chameleon! I also used a great Bugaboo sentiment, that I think I will use often.
I coloured 'Clyde' and his friends with Promarkers, and I cut the layered mats with
Fiskars deckle-edge scissors. Oh my, my hand was aching by the time I had finished
all the mats. I forget where I bought a packet of those dear little ladybugs several
ago...I thought they were perfect for this card.
A side-on view of my step card.
I have decorated the inside of the card fairly simply.

I would like to enter the following challenges :-
Twisted Tuesday #47 - 'Animals and Flowers'
Everybody Art #230 - 'Shaped Card'

Image - Bugaboo digital stamp 'Clyde Friend', and 'Sentiment'
Colouring - Promarkers
Die - Memory Box 'Fauntleroy Crest'
Cutting - Fiskars scissors 'Deckle'
Other - Ladybugs, flowers, gems, eyelets, all from my junk stash

Until next time, "happy crafting", and thank you for visiting.

Clyde

Hello fellow crafters,
I would like to say "hello" to Larelle, in Tenterfield. She reads my blog regularly, and is a friend of my dear friend, Diane, for whom I made a card to celebrate our 50 years of friendship. Also, "hello" to Kerry, who, by chance, I met up with recently. We used to attend the same card classes, many, many years ago, and lost touch when the shop closed down.

It's time for a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty, and this week our theme is
RIBBON AND BOWS
Our generous sponsors are
and

I was asked to use a Bugaboo digi image, and had no hesitation in
choosing Clyde Get Well - I love him!
If I was feeling poorly, I would love to have a visit from this
adorable little chap.
A closer look - don't you just love the expression on
his face.
My 'ribbon' is part of an old 1 inch gauze bandage, that I have had
in my crafty stash for years. I wasn't sure what I would use it for,
but as soon as I saw this image, I knew it would be perfect.
The bow is tied with my Bow-Easy.
I really must learn to shoot straight with my camera!

Challenges I would like to enter are-:
No Matter Which #6 - 'Ribbon and Bows'
Creative Moments #10 - 'Buttons and Bows/Anything Goes'
