Wedding Gazebo

I have another card to show you tonight, that I made about 2 months ago
for a wedding, and forgot to put it on my blog. The couple were in their late
thirties, and don't like anything too fussy, so I opted for a classic style card.

I only bought 1 A4 sheet of the gorgeous paper, at the Stamp Camp I attended in
September as it was quite expensive. However, I now wish I had bought more,
as it has such a luxurious look and feel to it. I also bought the gazebo and bird
dies at the camp, so this was the first time I used them.

The inside of my card matches the front.

I added some flourishes to the back of my card in order to "dress
up" my contact details label.

Dies - Spellbinders Floral Flourishes, Classic and Scalloped Circles, Spellbinders D-lites Gazebo; ?Joycraft Bird
Paper - Unknown
Ribbon, peel-off stickers, and Mirror Board from my junk stash

That's all for tonight, so I will wish you "Happy Crafting", and until next time,

Hugs from,
Jennifer. x

Wedding Roses

A few months ago, I made this card for a wedding in September, and forgot
to post it on my blog, so here it is now. The lovely couple are Veronica and
Antonio, hence the 'V' and 'A'.

I took the photos on 2 consecutive days, and although the weather was the same both
days, I can't believe how different the colours are. The true colours are closer to the
ones below. I used my favourite method of cutting my rose petals and leaves from
parchment, or vellum, then handpainting them with dye inks before shaping them.
It is a very time-consuming process, but the end result is quite satisfying.

A closer look at the roses on the left...
and on the right. These smaller roses were cut with a combination of
Cheery Lynn dies, and Carl punches.

Inside my card matches the front.

Challenges
Fantastic Tuesday #10 - 'Must Be Square, Make it Fancy'
Songbird #28 - 'Favourite Song' (The Rose)
Through The Purple Haze - 'Pink, Purple or Red'
Unstampabelles #29 - 'Vellum - No Stamps'

Dies - Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circles, Foliage, Rose Creations; Cheery Lynn Wreath Strip, Medium and Large Rose; Cuttlebug Alphabet Olivia
Punches - Carl Butterfly, Carl Retro Daisy,
Embossing - Tied Together (don't remember the brand)
Stamens - Flower Soft
Inks - Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Adirondack Dye Inks
Ribbon from my junk stash

This is just a short post tonight as it is after 1 a.m., and very unseasonably cold. I have had to keep my computer shutdown all day, because we have had multiple electrical storms, and torrential rain. We have just had a brief break from the storms, but unfortunately there is another brewing, and each crash if thunder is getting closer, so I had better bid you all "good night", and shut-down yet again.

Hugs,

True Love

Good evening to all my friends out there in blogland.

A big "thank you" to those of you who have sent good luck messages
regarding the dreadful bushfires. The fires nearest us, as well as several
others, have been downgraded from 'Catastrophic' and 'Emergency'
to 'Watch and Act'. We still have to be on evacuation alert though.
Last night, about 11pm, the strangest thing happened...within minutes,
the howling wind stopped, and was replaced by the most eerie silence.
There was not even a puff of breeze, and after the non-stop roar of
the wind for a week, the stillness and silence, coupled with the very
strong smell of smoke was quite un-nerving. We had another night of
almost no sleep. The wind came back this morning, and the smoke
has been quite dense all day.

Because it is Thursday, it means that we have another challenge for you
at Crafty Little Fairies , and this week it is the Pink Fairies' turn to invite
you to enter our challege, the theme of which is

'ANYTHING GOES'

Now that's a lovely easy one, isn't it. Don't forget, you can use any image,
stamped or digi, on your entry, but please remember, you must use an image.

A big "thank you" to our sponsor, who this week is Sarah from

Also, our lovely, talented 'Mummy Fairy', Squirrel, is very generously giving
2 Lili Of The Valley stamps to some lucky crafter.

*****The other news at Crafty Little Fairies, is that we have a*****
DT call at the moment. We are looking for 3 new Fairies, so if you would
like to join us, pop over to our challenge blog for the full details.

I have used LOTV's Wedding Carriage to create my card. I fell in love with
this stamp the first time I saw it several years ago at my first visit to a craft show
at  'Ally Pally' in London.

A closer look at the happy couple, and their dappled grey friend.

Inside my card co-ordinates with the front. All the tiny hearts
are off-cuts from the punched border, and coated with Star Dust Stickles.

I slightly decorated the back of my card.
