Yet another week has raced on by, therefore it is time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty. This time our challenge couldn't be easier...on your creation just...

'ADD A SENTIMENT'

I was asked to choose any image from the wonderful range of images from

Fred She Said Designs. It was difficult to narrow my choice down to just one,

but I finally chose this ever so sweet digi, Snow Lady-Light Up Your Holidays.

She was a delight to colour, and I think is destined to become one of my favourite

Christmas images. I smothered all my snowflakes with Stickles Star Dust.

I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the panel inside my card, and punched

a snowflake border into a narrow panel of the lovely blue DP. It has VERY subtle

snowflakes and checks, and is the most beautiful quality. Sadly, I only bought one 

12x12 sheet about 4 years ago at a clearance sale in a hall, and have procrastinated

about using it. (Yes, I have confessed to you all that I am a hopeless paper addict!).

The 3 tiny snowflakes are the negatives from the punched border...I keep all of these

(in many colours), in a tiny, clear container. 

I downloaded this fabulous font from a freebie site when I bought my first

computer, many years ago, and promptly forgot all about it until I bought

a new computer recently. I am sorry, but I cannot remember the source.

Woodland Beauties

Hello fellow crafters,
It appears that spring has finally arrived to those of you in the northern hemisphere, and likewise autumn has finally arrived here in Oz. We actually lit our woodfire last night, and today it is chilly, miserably overcast and drizzling. For the past few weeks we have had temperatures ranging from 23 - 30 oC. Talk about an 'Indian Summer'.

I just can't believe how fast the weeks are rushing by, so it is again time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty. You should all have fun with the theme this week,

I was asked to choose a digital image from Fred She Said Designs, and my choice was Blue Jay and Raspberries. They have so many lovely images, it was difficult to choose just one.

That absolutely gorgeous paper was a sheet about A3 size. I bought it 2½ years ago in London at a very old shop a few blocks from the British Museum. It sold the most exquisite papers, and did book-binding - the old way. They also had a couple of antique printing presses there. I swear I was swooning, and fit to faint, being the paper-addict I am. This paper was made in Italy, and is of stunning quality. It was priced to reflect that, but I didn't mind...I just had to have it. This is the first time I have used it.

I printed, coloured, and cut out 2 of the larger jays, 

and mounted the top one on 3D Dots. I also reduced

the size of one to make it appear to be more distant.

Daisies and Ladybugs

Hello fellow crafters,

Once again it's time for a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty, and our theme this week is

'USE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO'

I have to confess I have 2 favouite colour combos - one is 'pink and green', but the one I have chosen to use for this challenge is 'pink and brown'.

I got to play with a lovely digi stamp set from Fred She Said Designs, 

and it is called Daisies and Ladybugs. There are lots of images in this set,

some are pre-coloured, and some are outlines for you to colour as you wish. 

I printed 2 copies of the large daisy head image, coloured them both, then cut out one,

which I shaped with a 'ball' tool. I then mounted it with 3D tape.

 

I love this group of small daisies - they are so pretty. I printed one

of the ladybugs in the digi set, and after I coloured her, I cut her out

and mounted her on 3 D tape.

For the inside of  my card, I used another of the images in the set, and 

cut out the panel for the personal message, using the 'off the edge' technique.
