Warren in His Spring Garden

Hello fellow crafters,
I hope you are all having a lovely, relaxing Easter break.

Tonight, I have a side step card for you, featuring my little friend, Warren, from Craftwork Cards.

I fell in love with this little guy, at the Craftwork Cards stand at a craft show

in Farnborough, England, when I was there in 2011. I bought several packs

of assorted images that can be coloured with almost any medium.

Snowman Santa

Hello fellow crafters, and welcome to my new follower, Elaina1.

Tonight I am back with another Christmas card. It is for a crafting friend, but as she does not look at my blog, I know it is safe to show the card to you.

I always find it difficult to photograph multi-fold cards, such as this side-step card, so I must apologise for the abundance of photos.

I went completely overboard decorating this card, but then if we can't do that at Christmas, when can we.

This is a very old Penny Black stamp. It was very 'fiddly' to colour, but I think it was worth the time taken - it's such a sweet image. I love the little doggy, wagging his tail, while waiting patiently to give 'Snowman Santa' his Christmas wish list. Don't you just love his turtle-neck pullover.

Side Step Card

Hope you have all enjoyed your Easter break. I have - the weather here has been as near to perfect as possible. Also, I have spent many hours working out how to set up my blog, and have learned so much, but realise that there is so much more to learn.
I love making side step cards...they are so different, and non-cardmakers are always fascinated by them. An essential piece of equipment I believe, is my beloved Scor-Pal. It allows very precise scoring, and crisp folds on all cards, but particularly when multiple folds are required.
I made this card 2 weeks ago, and the glue attaching the flowers was not even fully dried when a lady saw it, and insisted on buying it. She barely gave me time to photograph it.

This little hedgie always makes me smile, and I have often used him for many different occasions. He looks as if he is concentrating so hard on delivering his over-sized bouquet.
